SCT Day 4: Coyote Lake to Lang Bay

Felt like running downhill

We got up at about 6.45 am and had a last breakfast on our trip. The gas can died just after heating last batch of water so we’ve planned it almost perfectly (no hot lunch today unfortunately).

We’ve done the first part of the hike (about 8 km) mostly through a forest and had a small break at Walt Hill Hut with wonderful views. I would say the hut location has been second best compared to Tin Hut which we have experienced on our first day - sadly we did not have enough time to stay overnight there to truly compare.

We’ve left for Lang Bay at about 12.30 pm and arrived there shortly before 4 pm. We’ve caught a ferry at 4.55 pm, magic. Once we have arrived at Earl’s Cove, we’ve went straight for Langdale while listening to songs of all sorts.

As we have arrived shortly after a ferry left, we were lucky enough to get on the next one to Vancouver. A quick dinner inside and the trip has been over sooner than you’d think. What an adventure! (bonus picture of our mid-day "jungle" scramble below)
